Network Eventos
Complete portal redesign in WordPress for Network Eventos, a corporate events company. Preserving years of event history, sponsors and documents, we delivered a modern layout and stable infrastructure.
The Challenge
Network Eventos is a corporate events portal with a large database of events, sponsors, schedules, photo galleries, reports and documents accumulated over the years. The project required a completely new layout while preserving all historical data and sponsor relationships, plus migration to more stable hosting infrastructure, all without breaking the production site.
The main technical challenges included: reusing a large event database with many sponsors linked to each event, replacing the old layout without losing document/sponsor associations, handling multi-day date display (e.g., "July 1 to 2") and coordinating the DNS switch with minimal downtime.
What We Built
Working with Arte Digital Internet, we delivered a complete portal redesign:
- New WordPress theme — homepage highlighting upcoming events, individual event pages with schedules, photo galleries, reports (PDF) and sponsors, plus Calendar and Past Events pages with filters
- Content migration strategy — we initially tried import/export tools, but sponsor ID conflicts forced a change in approach: we worked from a backup of the original site and reapplied the new layout on top, preserving all event-sponsor-document relationships
- Documents module — rebuilt the PDF/reports system with buttons using document titles, exposing existing PDFs linked to events
- Multi-day date logic — automated date range display (e.g., "01 a 02 de julho")
- Multiple revision rounds — working with feedback via PDFs/slides on typography, spacing, alignment and responsiveness
- Server migration — cloning to new server, database and media copy, DNS switch coordination
- Desktop and mobile polish
The Result
The portal now runs on stable infrastructure, preserving the entire history of events, reports and sponsor relationships, something critical to the client's operations. The new layout delivers a much clearer experience, with readable dates, organized schedules and sponsor highlights. The client gained a well-organized admin to manage new events with dedicated fields for schedules, documents and galleries. The server switch was completed with minimal downtime, backed by full backups and staging tests.
